MixPBX Mode: Hybrid

Hybrid solution: Gateway and PBX

MixPBX can be used as a gateway between your existing PBX and the fixed telecommunications network. New VoIP extensions can be connected to MixPBX, which takes charge of the routing between the old extensions and the new VoIP extensions.

This type of installation is used to migrate a traditional installation to a modern VoIP solution in stages and at little cost. There is no need to replace the existing extensions as the MixPBX and your old PBX can co-exist.
